France’s AMF blacklists 166 unregulated Forex and binary options brokers

France’s financial markets regulator AMF today issued two separate warnings against dozens of Forex and binary options brokers that offer their services in the country despite the lack of necessary authorization to do so.

The list of unregulated Forex brokers includes 45 names, compared to 32 in the list that was issued early in July this year. The AMF has also found 122 unregulated binary options brokers to be soliciting French traders – a steep rise from the 77 such brokers included in the list of unauthorized entities in July 2014.

The regulator advises all potential investors to check whether their investment service provider has the necessary license and authorization to offer its services in France. The names of the regulated entities can be found in www.regafi.fr. Regarding the companies whose names feature in the latest warnings, the watchdog advises customers to stay away from any contacts with these companies and their representatives.
