Italy’s Consob warns of unauthorized FX broker Bank Investment Capital/GME

Italy’s financial markets watchdog Consob (Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa) earlier today issued a warning regarding Forex broker G.M.E Ltd, operating under the name Bank Investment Capital, also known as BIC FX.

The regulator warns the public that the company, which is offering its services via www.bankinvestcapital.com, is not authorized to provide investment services to Italian investors. The website indeed has a version in Italian language.

The company provides a physical address in the UK, which means that it should have registration with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). However, LeapRate’s check has shown that G.M.E Ltd is not registered with, nor authorized by the UK regulator to offer investment services.
