Japanese FX giant MONEX Inc has undergone significant organizational and personnel changes, which were announced at the end of last week.
In a technology-led business such as the FX industry, continual evolution of systems and development of new innovation is vital to survival, a matter which applies not just to the technology solutions themselves, but also the structure of the business units which develop and maintain them.
MONEX has created two new departments in order to supplant the UX Design Department. These new departments will be named MONEX Labs and the New UX Design Department.
Additionally, the System Department and Global Systems Department will be restructured to create the System Development Department and System Operation and Management Department.
Aside from these significant restructures within the firm’s development business, the Client Account Department will be newly created by encompassing the operational aspects of the Customer Service Department.
Accounting and Treasury will be split into two different departments, those being the Finance Department and the Accounting Department.
As well as the characteristic changes to the above departments, MONEX has made some internal personnel changes at senior level, in which the company’s COO Deputy President Head of Sales Division Kiminori Kaneko will become COO Deputy President.
Kiyoshi Tamura, currently Managing Director and Senior Executive Director will assume the positions of Managing Director, Senior Managing Director and General Manager within the Credit Department.
Current Managing Director and Senior Executive Director Toshihiko Katsuya will retain his existing title but also be made Head of Sales Division, whilst Executive Director Nobuaki Okamoto will assume the position of Executive Director, General Manager of the Client Account Department.
All of these changes, structural and personnel, will take effect on July 1 this year.
