Boutique algorithmic trading company Sigma Trading has appointed David Russell as Head of Risk, based in London.
Mr. Russell joins Sigma Trading from IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG), where he served as Treasurer for eight years after joining the British CFD and spread betting giant from Global Trader Europe Ltd in 2007.
Two years at Global Trader Europe was preceded by a year as Risk Manager at LCH.Clearnet, a position which Mr. Russell assumed after a year at Refco in 2003 as Head of Credit.
Mr. Russell graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1991 with a Batchelor of Commerce degree in Business & Commerce.
