CMC Markets, the international provider of financial spread betting and Forex trading services, today announced an important addition to its senior management ranks. David Hodge, a name that needs little presentation for anyone in the FX industry, is joining the broker as its new Chief Commercial Officer.
David Hodge held the position of Group Marketing Director at spread betting and CFD expert IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG) until October 2011. After that he assumed the role of a chief marketing officer at Alpari UK Limited, where he was promoted to chief operating officer in July 2013 and in November 2013 took the role of chief executive officer. The work background of Mr Hodge, however, is rather diverse, with the proof coming from his past roles at Cadbury, Scottish Courage and bmibaby.
CMC Markets’ announcement stresses Mr Hodge’s wealth of experience in running strategic, commercial, marketing and digital operations across global markets.
Peter Cruddas, Chief Executive at CMC Markets, commented on the appointment: “Building on the strong team we already have at CMC Markets is essential to drive forward our growth ambitions. David’s extensive strategic and commercial experience in various industries, and most importantly our own, makes him a superb addition to the leadership team. 2015 looks set to be a standout year and David will bring an invaluable perspective to how we accelerate growth.”
David Hodge, Chief Commercial Officer at CMC Markets, added: “It’s fantastic to join such an ambitious team and innovative brand at what is an exciting time for the business. I’m looking forward to working with the great teams here to help push the company to the next level, while creating an even more commanding brand within the sector and beyond.”
