KCG announces steady $29.5 billion in market making volumes for April

KCG Holdings, Inc. Class A (NYSE:KCG) today released trade volumes for the month of April 2015.

In Market Making, KCG averaged $29.5 billion dollar volume traded, 5.5 billion shares traded, and 3.7 million trades per day in U.S. equities. This represents a very steady performance, almost equal to the $29.7 billion dollar volume traded in March this year.

Within the firm’s Global Execution Services division, KCG electronic execution averaged 299.4 million shares traded per day in U.S. equities whilst KCG BondPoint averaged $139.0 million per day in fixed income par value.

As for the overall market conditions in April, consolidated U.S. equity volume averaged $262.9 billion in dollar volume and 6.4 billion shares traded per day. The realized volatility for the S&P 500 was 8.6.
