The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) on Tuesday published a public warning regarding Lau Global Services Corp, aka MXTrade, a Forex broker offering its services via https:// www.mxtrade.com.
The Cypriot regulator notes that MXTrade is not permitted to provide investment and ancillary services in Cyprus, pursuant to Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law.
CySEC stresses that the broker has never been authorized by it and that the company is not established in the Republic and authorised to provide such services. Furthermore, no notification by has been received a competent authority of another EU Member State in this regard.
The warning from the Cypriot regulator comes less than a fortnight after Italy’s financial watchdog Consob issued a similar warning, alerting the public that Lau Global Services (aka MXTrade) is not authorized to offer investment services in Italy in any way.
