Saxo Bank, the group that successfully combines the roles of a bank and a Forex broker, is seeing some changes at its communications department, as current head of communications Kasper Elbjørn is about to leave the company and will be succeeded by Cathrine Kier.
Cathrine Kier, who has been responsible for Saxo’s Nordic media relations for the past two years, will be stepping into a new role as Head of Communications. She will report to Rune Bech, Saxo’s Executive Director for Digital Media and Group Communications.
Mr Elbjørn, whose last day at Saxo will be September 15, 2015, is leaving the broker to pursue a career at Carlsberg Group. He has been at Saxo since May 1, 2007.
The move comes as the Denmark-based FX broker and bank has seen some serious reshuffle at its top ranks. Early in August 2015, the company announced the appointment of Soren Kyhl as its Chief Operating Officer. And just a couple of days later, Saxo named Philip Wegloop – from audio products provider Bang & Olufsen, its Chief Experience Officer.
