Cryptoconomist, an online project offering investors to pump their money into various investment plans associated with Forex and crypto currencies trading, has attracted the attention of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
The UK watchdog has issued a public warning that the company is not authorized to offer financial services to UK investors.
Obviously the regulator is not concerned about the cryptocurrency-related business of the company but rather about the fact that it offers investment services to UK clients, an activity that requires proper FCA authorization. The firm, however, lacks such a permission.
The recently upgraded FCA register shows that Cryptoconomist does not have the necessary regulatory permissions to market its services in the UK.
