Italy’s Consob adds more FX, binary options brokers to Warning List

Italy’s financial markets regulator Consob has earlier today published a set of warnings regarding unregulated investment services providers.

The latest series of warnings target: Baxton Services Ltd (www.ubroker.com), Trade 24 Investment Ltd and Trade 24 Services Ltd (www.trade-24.com); Global Trading Solutions (www.globaltradingsolutions.net), as well as Oxford Markets (www.oxfordmarkets.com). Amid these, Trader 24 is a binary options broker, whereas the others offer Forex services.

All of these companies are not authorized to target Italian investors and to offer investment services in Italy, including via their website, the watchdog notes.

Some of the above mentioned businesses have already attracted regulatory attention. The UK and Cypriot financial regulators have issued warnings against Ubroker, saying the company is not regulated in any of these jurisdictions. Whereas the UK and Cypriot warnings mention Fundsaver Services, the parent of the brand giving an address in Cyprus, the Italian regulator mentions Baxton Services, whose name features in the company’s Privacy Policy page.
