Switzerland’s Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) has updated its Warning List of companies, with the latest addition being Bloombex Online.
Bloombex, operating via www.bloombexonline.com and www.bloombex-options.com, offers investors a variety of binary options services. The company says on its website that it has an address in Switzerland: Dreikönigsstrasse 31A, 8002 Zürich.
The inclusion of Bloombex in FINMA’s Warning List means that it might be operating without a licence although its service requires authorization and should be supervised by FINMA. When the Swiss watchdog receives information that a provider is operating without authorization, it opens investigation into the matter. If initial suspicions are confirmed, FINMA can start enforcement proceedings and introduce measures of varying severity, including closing the company down.
This is not the first time that Bloombex triggers regulatory concerns. Last year, Cypriot regulator CySEC and Italy’s Consob issued warnings against the firm. Bloombex is also included in the RED list of unregistered Forex and binary options providers targeting US investors.
