A week ago, MetaQuotes Software, the developer of the popular MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platforms, announced the launch of hedging capabilities on the MT5 platform and today these capabilities are extended to the MT5 application for Android devices.
The application now supports a second position accounting system – Hedging, which allows opening multiple positions in the same financial instrument, including opposite positions. If traders have an open position for a certain symbol and execute a new deal, a new position is opened, while the existing one remains intact.
Currently, hedging is available only for opening demo accounts on the MetaQuotes-Demo server, but the company pledges that brokers will be able to support hedging in MT5 soon.
The new build of the MT5 Android app also supports portrait mode. Thanks to it, traders can browse conveniently through long lists of trading operations, as well as read their mail and financial news.
