France’s Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) has proven as one of the most active watchdogs in the world when it comes to issuing warnings and blacklisting websites of unauthorized companies offering investment services.
It was in early March this year, when the “Black List” of the French regulator featured massive 189 binary options websites. As of today, the list is updated and now features stunning 223 entries.
The list includes websites that are run by binary options brokers that do not have the necessary licenses to offer such services to French investors. France’s authorities have already noticed that the bulk of these fraudulent companies are located overseas and use French-speaking customer support desks to lure French investors.
As usual, the regulator asks traders to be extra careful when selecting a binary options provider. It also reminds the public that binary options trading carries risks and may lead to a total loss of investments.
