Markit Ltd (NASDAQ:MRKT), an international provider of financial information services, today announced the appointment of Yaacov Mutnikas as cohead of its Solutions division, concentrating on risk analytics, portfolio management and enterprise data management solutions.
In his new role, Mr Mutnikas will be reporting to Markit’s chief executive officer Lance Uggla.
Mr Mutnikas has more than 30 years of experience across software engineering, systems architecture, financial engineering and advanced risk analytics. Previously he was senior advisor at the Bank of England, focused on financial networks and systemic risk. Before that, he worked at Bridgewater Associates and had a long tenure at Algorithmics where he held several concurrent roles including chief technology officer, head of financial engineering and managing director of their EMEA businesses. Mr Mutnikas holds an MSc from the University of Reading and an MSc from King’s College, London.
