The firm revealed in a release that the three directors will officially begin their terms following HKEX’s 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and will serve until the conclusion of the 2027 AGM.

HKEX Chairman Carlson Tong stated: “We warmly welcome the appointment of Ms Ding Chen and the reappointment of Mr Joseph Yam to the HKEX Board.”

He highlighted Ding’s extensive experience in the financial services industry, particularly in asset and wealth management, as key to guiding the exchange’s future development.

Additionally, Nisa Leung will retire from the Board after the 2025 AGM. Tong thanked Ms Leung for her “valuable contributions and dedicated support to HKEX over the past four years.”

The appointments come as HKEX continues to strengthen its leadership amid evolving market conditions.
