John Hegeman Appointed to Robinhood Board

Robinhood Markets said Tuesday that John Hegeman has been appointed to its Board of Directors.

The brokerage highlighted Hegeman’s extensive expertise in digital advertising, product development, and business strategy.

Hegeman currently serves as Chief Revenue Officer at Meta, where he leads the company’s global monetisation strategy. 

Since joining Meta in 2007, he has reportedly played a key role in shaping its advertising business, overseeing teams across ads, Feed, Stories, notifications, and integrity.

Robinhood CEO and Chairman Vlad Tenev welcomed Hegeman’s appointment, citing his experience in driving innovation and platform growth. 

John has strong experience driving innovation and growth across platforms and brings valuable perspectives as we expand our platform for millions of users,” Tenev said.

Meanwhile, Hegeman commented: “Technology has the power to transform industries and create new opportunities for people everywhere.”

Hegeman holds a degree in mathematics and economics from Stanford University and also serves on the Board of Directors for Jio Platforms Limited and the Center for Election Science.

His appointment adds to an already high-profile board that includes Robinhood’s co-founders, Vlad Tenev and Baiju Bhatt, former DoorDash President Christopher Payne, and Autodesk CMO Dara Treseder.
