The solution is said to be designed to simplify global commerce for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The firm said in a press release that the new offering aims to streamline cross-border transactions and reduce operational costs, providing enhanced global reach, security, and cost efficiency.
They added that the World Card allows users to pay anywhere Mastercard is accepted, supporting over 150 currencies in 210+ countries and regions.
Furthermore, the firm claims that businesses can benefit from zero foreign exchange fees on transactions involving 15 major currencies—including GBP, USD, EUR, and JPY—when funded from their WorldFirst account balance.
It is stated that later in 2025, users will also be able to create multiple cards for individual teams or expenses and manage spending through a centralised dashboard.
There is also a cashback rewards programme that offers savings on eligible transactions.
The card will become available via Apple Pay and Google Pay this year, according to Ant International, with a physical version launching in 2025.
“Together, we’re helping SMEs simplify operations, stay on top of spending, and expand into new markets,” said Jane Prokop, Executive Vice President at Mastercard.
WorldFirst CEO Clara Shi added the solution provides businesses with “global coverage, secure transactions and operational efficiency.”
