LeapRate Exclusive… LeapRate has learned that CySEC regulated binary options broker Anyoption is, well, on its way to no longer being a binary broker.
Sources inform LeapRate that the company has apparently taken the strategic decision to abandon binary options, in favour of building out its offering of FX pair and CFD trading.
The company is also looking to branch out into Portfolio Management, and social stock trading. Anyoption is also in merger discussions with another CySEC licensed broker, Invest.com, which focuses as well in these areas.
Anyoption, whose parent company Ouroboros Derivatives Trading Ltd in a licensed CIF by CySEC, has undergone a number of changes over the past few months. The company shifted its call center activity out of Israel, following new legislation making its way through the Israeli Knesset banning the operation of a binary options brokerage in the country, as well as new CySEC rules requiring client-facing activity to occur either in Cyprus or another EU country.
Given the negative publicity surrounding the entire Binary Options sector, Anyoption has apparently decided that it would be unable to grow its other businesses while still being associated with Binary Options.
Anyoption will continue, for the time being, to serve its existing clients engaging in Binary Options trading, but will cease all Binary Options marketing activity.
The company sent out the following email to its Affiliate network earlier today on the subject:
