Continuing its string of warnings against unregulated brokers and other scams targeting retail traders in Canada, Canadian securities regulator the British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) has added to its Investment Caution List unregulated binary options broker GTOptions, owned and operated by MJ Vents Ltd from website gtoptions.com.
According to the BCSC, GTOptions claims to be based in Bulgaria and provides an online binary options trading platform.
GTOptions is not registered to trade in, or advise on, securities or exchange contracts in BC.
Similar warnings were issued recently against GTOptions by Cyprus regulator CySEC, which in December published an extensive list of unregulated forex and binary options brokers, and by Quebec regulator AMF.
BCSC urged BC residents to exercise caution when dealing with firms that are not registered to trade or advise in BC.
