Canadian securities regulator the British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) issued a warning today against a suspicious entity named peakoptions24.
Peakoptions24 is operating via the website https://www.peakoptions24.com and claims to be “one of the leading binary options brokers in the industry, with a high payout of 81% in binary options contracts”. Peakoptions24 also claims to have an office in New York City.
The regulator recently became aware of peakoptions24 and that it had accepted funds from a British Columbia (BC) resident to trade with the company, though the company is not registered to trade in, or advise on, securities or exchange contracts in BC.
BCSC urges BC residents to exercise caution when dealing with firms that are not registered to trade or advise in BC.
This is the third scam warning issued by the regulator this week. The other two are against the entities ICG International Commodities Group and Sussex Investment.
