Global financial services provider Apex Group today announced partnering with crypto startup and a part of Deutsche Börse Group, Crypto Finance AG. Their collaboration aims to offer institutional-grade crypto products.
Crypto Finance AG provides investment, custody and brokerage solutions for cryptocurrencies to institutional clients. Deutsche Börse acquired a majority stake in the Swiss FINMA- regulated company in December 2021.
In the official press release issued on Wednesday, it was announced that Apex Group would receive a digital asset infrastructure of institutional quality from Crypto Finance. This infrastructure will begin with an issuance program for structured products that will be backed by digital assets.

Today’s announcement is an important next step in our global strategy of institutionalising digital markets, enabling institutional capital to access this digital asset class within the same secure and regulated framework they are familiar with from the traditional financial markets.
Apex Group and Crypto Finance’s collaboration aims to provide professional and institutional investors with a safe and regulated way to create their own crypto-related investment products. The offering provides access to tailored crypto investment products, including actively managed certificates (AMCs) and exchange-traded products (ETPs) to banks, family offices, asset managers, and other professional investors.
Both parties will benefit from the cooperation agreement, with Apex Group managing a securitization Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) that is independent of Switzerland. This arrangement will establish a secure setup with limited counterparty risk. The collaboration’s first products are scheduled to be launched in the early second quarter of the year.
