Alpha Group International Confirms Clive Kahn Takes Over CEO

Alpha Group International confirmed Thursday that Clive Kahn has officially assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 January 2025.

Kahn’s appointment follows the earlier announcement of a CEO succession plan in September 2024, where Morgan Tillbrook, Alpha’s founding CEO, decided to step down after 15 years of leadership.

Tillbrook formally resigned on 31 December 2024, though he will continue to provide strategic advice and retain a 10% shareholding for at least three years.

Kahn brings extensive experience to the role, having served as Alpha’s Chairman since 2016 and spearheading significant growth in financial services.

His career includes leading the transformation of takepayments, which he sold to Global Payments in 2024, and holding senior roles at Travelex and Cardsave.

The transition coincides with Jayne-Anne Gadhia assuming the role of Chair in November 2024, ensuring continuity in governance as Kahn shifts to an executive leadership position.

In the September announcement, Morgan Tillbrook said: “In Clive, the business has both a proven leader and a world-class operator, but crucially, someone who understands the Alpha culture, our operating model and shares its long-term mindset.”

Kahn, in turn, stated that he is “confident that with the team and foundations we have in place, we will continue to take the business from strength to strength.”
