LSEG also said Pitchford, who is currently CFO of Experian plc, will join the audit, risk and nomination committees.

It is expected that Pitchford’s appointment will expand the breadth and depth of the LSEG board’s expertise.

Don Robert, chair of LSEG, said that Pitchford’s “significant financial experience in global growth organisations” will help support and benefit the company as it continues to scale and “deliver transformational change across our industry.”

Pitchford is also a non-executive director and chair of the audit committee at Bunzl plc but will step down from those roles on April 23, 2025, according to LSEG.

Prior to joining Experian, he held senior roles at Intertek plc and in the energy sector.

Elsewhere on Thursday, LSEG announced it has divested its 4.92% stake in financial market infrastructure company Euroclear to TCorp, the investment and financial management partner of the New South Wales (NSW) public sector.
