Deutsche Börse has just released its cash markets volumes. The exchange generated a turnover of €130.3 billion in March, down 21% YoY from €165.1 billion, but up 12% MoM.
Xetra released €117.8b (€152.2b in 2018), bringing the average daily volume to €5.6b. Börse Frankfurt announced €2.9b in trading volumes (€3.7b in 2018) and Tradegate Exchange made €9.6b in March (€9.2b in 2018).
The total amount of Equities was €116.7 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €12.0 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.4 billion, in certificates €1.0 billion and in funds €0.1 billion.
The DAX share with the highest turnover on Xetra in March was Bayer AG with €6.3 billion. Commerzbank AG was on top of the MDAX equities with €1.5 billion, while Aixtron SE made it to the top at the SDAX equity index with €246 million. In the ETF segment, the iShares Core DAX UCITS ETF were the ones with the largest volume (€1.5 billion).
