enermarket, the joint venture of European Energy Exchange (EEX), innogy and Süwag, has just announced that it has launched the online price comparison portal for power and natural gas. As of now, business customers can compare prices of energy suppliers and place orders directly with the provider at www.enermarket.de. As a result, small and medium-sized companies can find the right energy provider with just a few mouse clicks and optimise their energy costs in the long run.
We offer a digital solution which is very easy to operate and, at the same time, ensures a transparent comparison. As a first step, the core focus is on companies with an annual power consumption of up to 1 million kWh”, explained Tobias Thiel, managing director of enermarket. As a result, the new platform will form an additional and cost-effective online sales channel for energy providers focusing on these business customers. Through enermarket, the providers can significantly expand the reach of their offering and enable their customers to simply and securely conclude contracts online.
Thiel emphasised:
Our aim is to enable the enermarket customers to choose among the highest possible number of offers in the future. We are already cooperating with ten energy suppliers which will integrate their offers into the platform over the next weeks. We are in negotations to connect further market partners – ranging from suppliers operating throughout Germany to medium-sized energy suppliers – to enermarket in the near future.
For the future, enermarket relies on a flexible approach under which the products and functionalities are gradually developed further together with the market partners and with a view to the customers’ requirements. In addition to the price comparisons, there are, for example, plans to offer further services, such as energy consulting, at enermarket.
