The New York Stock Exchange officially launched NYSE Texas on Monday, making it the first securities exchange incorporated in Texas.
NYSE Texas Opens, With Trump Media & Technology Group the First Listing
The exchange also revealed that Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) has become the inaugural listing.
Lynn Martin, President of NYSE Group, said the launch of NYSE Texas provides businesses with new opportunities in a pro-business environment.
“We are thrilled to open NYSE Texas to corporate issuers and to welcome Trump Media & Technology Group to our NYSE community through a NYSE Texas listing,” Martin said.
TMTG CEO and Chairman Devin Nunes called the listing a “great fit” for the company as it expands into financial services.
“Texas provides a fantastic climate for business and entrepreneurship that aligns with TMTG’s mission,” Nunes said, adding that the move reflects a broader trend of businesses shifting to states that “value free enterprise and personal freedom.”
Texas already hosts the largest number of NYSE-listed companies, with a combined market value of over $3.7 trillion.
The new exchange will soon establish headquarters in Dallas, further solidifying the state’s role in U.S. capital markets.
NYSE Texas will operate alongside the broader NYSE network, offering an alternative listing venue for firms drawn to Texas’ economic strength and regulatory environment.
TMTG, which remains primarily listed on the NYSE, will trade under the symbol “DJT” on both exchanges.
