Global fintech giant Revolut announced a significant milestone last week, revealing it has reached 10 million customers in the UK.
Revolut Adds Nearly 2 Million Customers in 2024
The achievement comes as the company has seen a substantial increase of nearly 2 million customers in 2024 alone, solidifying its position as one of the largest payments businesses in the market.
Founded in the UK in 2015, Revolut has expanded rapidly both domestically and internationally. The company now has a global customer base of over 45 million users.
Francesca Carlesi, CEO of Revolut UK, stated: “Ten million customers across the UK makes us one of the largest payments businesses in the market, and we are incredibly grateful to our growing customer base, who continue to use Revolut more and more.
“The UK is our home market, and is the base for the company’s wider global expansion plans. As we work towards launching the bank in the UK in the coming months, we will continue to offer products and services that improve the financial lives of everyone who uses Revolut.”
In August, Revolut secured $45 billion in valuation through a secondary share sale. In July, the company obtained a UK banking license with restrictions, paving the way for a full banking launch.
Additionally, Revolut appointed Fiona Davies as Head of Growth for the UK, Ireland, and Nordics. The company also announced plans to move its global headquarters to the YY London building in Canary Wharf.
Revolut has also introduced several new products to UK customers, including RevPoints, eSIM, Mobile Wallets, Wealth Protection, and more.
