The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) has recently added a new name to its list of unregulated firms. The latest addition is the company Trinity Investments Limited.
According to the FMA, the company could be involved in a scam.
The regulator has received a complaint from a New Zealand resident who has invested with Trinity Investments Limited after receiving a cold call. Trinity Investments Limited is with-holding the funds invested without reason.
Trinity Investments Limited is not registered as a financial service provider in New Zealand, therefore, is not permitted to provide financial services to New Zealand residents.
