The US online trading services provider, GAIN Capital Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: GCAP), announces operating metrics for February 2020.
The OTC trading volume for the retail segment was $198.7 billion, making a 23.1% increase in MoM and 47.8% up compared to February the previous year.
The average daily volume OTC trading made a 35.6% MoM increase with $9.9 billion and 47.8% YoY.
The number of futures contracts reached 692,903 for February, up by 6.9% MoM and 27.7% YoY.
The MoM growth has been steady with marking 23% monthly rise in January as well and 23.4% in December last year.
INTL FCStone announced in the end of February the acquisition of GAIN Capital Holdings for $6.00 per share in all-cash transaction, amounting to approximately $236 million in equity value. The agreement is approved by the board of directors of both companies.
