Forex and CFD trading provider, Tickmill Group, announced the appointment of Mukid Chowdhury as Group Chief Financial Officer. Chowdhury has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services field that allows him to bring industry insight and understanding of the sector to the company to help its expansion and growth.
Chowdhury will be a member of the Tickmill UK Limited Board and oversee the company’s finance and payments operation. His predecessor, Illimar Mattus, was Group CFO for 6 years and will now will oversee strategic management of the whole company but still remain on the executive boards of all regulated entities within the Group.
Chowdhury’s previous appointment was as UK CEO for London Capital Group (LCG) for more than 3 years, where he served as CFO and managed the UK operation. Before that, Chowdhury held a few senior financial positions as Group Financial Controller at City Index and as Finance Director for International Operations at Gain Capital. He has experience with global banking institutions, including JP Morgan and ING Bank as well.
