LeapRate Exclusive… LeapRate has learned that leading Australia based Retail FX broker Pepperstone has launched a new forex news, analysis and educational resources website called The FX Lounge, at thefxlounge.com.
Quietly launched in the Spring, Pepperstone has spent the past few months building up content on the site, and is now actively promoting it both as a resource to existing Pepperstone clients, and as an acquisition funnel for new clients.
The FX Lounge combines technical analysis on popular currency pairs, trading guides, educational webinars, and a weekly detailed market review by popular FX research duo Boris Schlossberg and Kathy Lien of BK Asset Management.
LeapRate spoke with Pepperstone CEO Phil Horner about the launch of The FX Lounge:
The FX Lounge is just getting started. Over the coming months we’re investing heavily in educating our clients. What we mean by that is not just providing them with the same old market commentary that traders would see every day but rather unique guides and thought pieces on everything from using macro data for their trading to getting them to think about hidden biases that might hold them back. We’re pretty excited with the potential and the feedback from clients so far has been really encouraging.
The past few months have been busy ones for Pepperstone. Beyond getting The FX Lounge off the ground, Pepperstone recently relaunched its FCA regulated arm in London as was exclusively reported at LeapRate, transferring all EEA clients to the Pepperstone UK entity. As we also exclusively reported, Pepperstone brought on board Iain Rogers, former Admiral Markets Managing Director, to head its UK operation and Zack Ioannou from GCM Prime as Head of UK Compliance.
