The NZX Ltd (NZE:NZX) today announced the appointment of David Flacks as the independent Chair of NZX’s Regulatory Governance Committee (RGC). Mr Flacks will replace the Committee’s current Chair, Derek Johnston, effective 1 September 2017. The term of the appointment is two years.
The RGC assists the NZX Board in fulfilling its governance responsibilities in relation to the regulatory function for its registered markets.

Derek has come to the end of his term as Chair and I would like to thank him for his longstanding commitment to NZX, and the outstanding job he has done chairing this committee.
Previously a partner at Bell Gully, Mr Flacks is an experienced corporate lawyer. He is currently a director of specialist corporate law firm Flacks & Wong, and a director of the Vero Insurance group of companies and the New Zealand Venture Investment Fund. In addition to this, Mr Flacks is Chair of AFT Pharmaceuticals and Harmoney Corp. He is a former member of the Takeovers Panel, and a former Chair of the NZ Markets Disciplinary Tribunal.
