Despina Iapona joins XS.com as global head of PR and branding

Global Fintech and financial services provider XS.com today revealed the expansion of its team with the addition of Despina Iapona as the new Head of PR and Branding.

Iapona has a strong background in financial services and brings a decade of experience in marketing and communication. In her new role at XS.com, she will be overseeing the firm’s global PR and industry presence.

The official announcement detailed that the latest hire aims to highlight the brand’s increasing presence within the sphere of global finance media.

Last month XS.com expanded its marketing team with the addition of industry veteran Andreea Ilies as their new Global Head of Events following the hire of Ahmed Negm as the new Head of Market Research for the MENA region. Furthermore, the firm’s expansion strategy has seen it increase their presence and sponsorships of more global events and tradeshows including in Jordan, Malaysia, the UAE, the Philippines, and Mexico.
