LeapRate Exclusive… LeapRate has learned that Silicon Valley based cloud-based eFX platform company Integral has made its second significant hire in as many months, adding Lars Olesen as the company’s new Head of EMEA.
Lars Olesen is currently working on a consulting basis, and will formally join Integral in November after completing garden leave. He will be based in Integral’s London office.
Mr. Olesen joins Integral after spending the past six years at Lloyds Bank, most recently acting as Managing Director and Head of Mid Market and SME, responsible for client and sales management of financial market products and services for mid market and small and medium sized businesses in the UK. Prior to joining Lloyds in 2012 he was COO of MF Global UK, and Head of Front Office, UK/US region for Saxo Bank.
The move to hire Mr. Olesen and expand in Europe comes after Integral hired former ION Trading CEO Gavin Bambury as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer.
LeapRate spoke with Integral founder and CEO Harpal Sandhu, who commented:
Integral’s network continues to expand, not only in additional bank and broker partners, but also in talented industry leaders who are joining our team. In addition to Gavin Bambury, our newly announced CTO, Lars Oleson, who is widely regarded as one of the most outstanding executives in FX, will be joining the company as head of EMEA in mid-November. Lars is a strategic hire for us as we accelerate and solidify our leadership position in EMEA.
Lars Olesen added about joining Integral:
I am excited about the opportunities ahead of the company, and I look forward to working with the entire Integral team to help drive continued market-share growth in EMEA.
