The Supervisory Board of Moscow Exchange at a meeting on 28 September 2017 confirmed Maxim Lapin as a Member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer of the company.
Before joining Moscow Exchange Maxim Lapin was a member of the Management Board and Business Development Director at steelmaker MMK.
Before MMK he was Director of Planning and Analysis at Sibur (2009-14), and worked in the Moscow office of McKinsey & Company where he focused on strategy and operational efficiency in the industrial and banking sectors (2003-09). Maxim Lapin holds an economics degree with distinction from Moscow State University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School with a specialism in corporate finance.

Maxim is a professional of the highest calibre with extensive experience of working at major companies. He will oversee the development of MOEX’s finance function, including planning and analysis, financial controlling, capital management and improvements to operational efficiency, as well as investor relations. The appointment of a young and dynamic manager such as Maxim will strengthen both the company’s finance function and the Moscow Exchange team as a whole.
