AT Global Markets (UK) Limited, the UK arm of global retail FX brokerage group ATFX, has announced the hiring of experienced FX industry executive Steven Woodcock as the company’s new Head of Risk Management.
His previous role was Head of Trading and Risk at TeraFX, where his responsibilities included managing flow exposure for FX, bullion, indices, and energy.
He will oversee a team of five risk management executives at ATFX. His role within the company will involve overseeing the company’s risk and ensuring it is in line with the Board of Director’s appetite.
ATFX has been growing its presence around the world lately, but especially in the UK. We had exclusively reported in July that the group injected £2M into the UK Forex business to support EU growth, and soon after upgraded its FCA license to an ‘IFPRU 730K’ license.
Mr. Richard Craddock, CEO of ATFX (UK), stated that he believes that Steven’s knowledge and experience in the Europe region will be crucial to tailoring the company’s service offering in Europe and hence expand the company’s impact in the region.
Prior to working with TeraFX, Steven Woodcock was the Head of Trading and Risk at Tradenext in the UK, Senior FX Analyst at PlutusFX, and Senior FX Dealer at Broadgate Mercury. Having started with Rouse Woodstock, a large and well-respected commodity house at the forefront of EFP market-making, he quickly became the largest FX profit maker over a sustained period of time.
Mr. Woodcock is a weekly contributor to CoreTV (formerly TipTV) and has appeared on IGTV with market commentary and views. ATFX said that it looks forward to him joining the financial brokerage.
