TP ICAP plc (LON:TCAP) has announced the appointment of Michael C Heaney as an independent Non-Executive Director. This follows the decision by the Board, as outlined in the 2016 Annual Report, to recruit a new Non‐Executive Director from the Americas. Heaney, an American national based in New York, has extensive experience of North America in particular.
Michael Heaney spent the majority of his career at Morgan Stanley, in New York and London. He recently retired from the firm after 28 years, having most recently served as the Global Co-Head of the Fixed Income Sales and Trading Division. Michael Morgan Stanley was also a member of Morgan Stanley’s Firm Operating Committee, Firm Management Committee and Firm Risk Management Committee.
He currently serves on the Board of Legal and General Investment Management Americas, and is Chairman of the Fixed Income Market Structure Advisory Committee at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He also serves on Lafayette College’s Board of Trustees.
Michael Heaney will join the Board of TP ICAP on 15 January 2018 and will be a member of the Risk and Remuneration Committees.
