Continuing a pattern we have seen from other leading institutional FX venues, multibank FX aggregation service FXSpotStream has announced that October trading volumes were down versus the previous month, although still fairly strong when compared with the rest of 2017 to date.
Average daily FX volumes in October were $19.9 billion, versus a record September at $23.9 billion. Still, October was FXSpotStream’s third best month of 2017.
Total FX volume in October was $437.7 billion at FXSpotStream, versus a record $502.7 billion in September.
The record setting volume in September capped a great month of momentum for FXSpotStream with the addition of State Street as LP number 13, the hiring of a new CTO, Tom San Pietro, who joined FXSpotStream after seven years at Thomson Reuters / FXall, after and the announcement of the upcoming launch this month of FX-Insights, FxSpotStream’s new analytics suite.
