Options, a global provider of colocation services and market data for trading firms, revealed that the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX – ALC Australian Liquidity Centre), the Korea Exchange (KRX) and the Hong Kong Exchange (HKEx) have signed up to its Managed Colocation service. Sydney’s Equinix SY2 has also joined Options as its second Australian client for the same service.
The new clients will have access to exchange feeds with ultra-low-latency as well as ultra-fast access for order entries and will have managed hosting services right at the source.
Today’s announcement is part of the Options’ aggressive 2019 global expansion strategy for its managed colocation platform given that it currently provides the same service at over 40 trading locations in North America, Europe, Asia and Southern Africa.
Options has recently broadened its footprint in Singapore due to rising liquidity demand in the APAC. Today’s statement follows recent reports of the company growing its business presence in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Options also recently opened its New Zealand office as part of a global initiative to get closer to its customers in each region.
Micah Kroeze, the VP of Product Management at Options stated that:
