Saxo Markets UK Appoints New CEO

Saxo Bank, a Danish financial institution specialising in online trading and investments across global markets, has announced that Andrew Bresler will step into the Saxo UK CEO position as of 3 June 2024.

Bresler replaces the segment’s interim CEO, Simon Camilleri. In Saxo’s press release, the firm emphasised that Bresler’s extensive experience in the financial sector earned him this top position. Previously, he was a core member of the company’s APAC leadership team and also acted as the sales trading deputy head in Singapore between 2016 and 2018.

Saxo further highlighted Bresler’s in-depth knowledge of the bank’s products, platforms and services. Bresler was Citibank’s Asia & EMEA regional head of brokerage, portfolio finance & digital investments and also occupied various leadership roles at InvestCloud. Saxo’s chief commercial officer, Stig Christensen, commented:

At the start of April 2024, S&P Global Rating upped Saxo’s long-term issuer credit rating from BBB to A-. The company claims that this upgrade reflects its robust financial profile and alignment with regulatory requirements. Deputy CEO & COO, Søren Kyhl, said:
