United Arab Emirates based FX brokerage ADS Securities announced per their company blog the coverage of their sponsorship of Louis Delétraz. One of the top young racing drivers in the world, from a young age he has shown exceptional talent coming up through from carting, where he won two Swiss national titles, to the world of single-seaters. From international football to high performance racing sponsorship, financial trading brokerages are making the strategic marketing decision to cross promote within competitive sport, which also underscores the competitive nature of trading.
ADS Securities was delighted to sponsor him in this year’s Northern European Formula Renault Cup, which for many drivers, including Kimi Raikkonen, Felipe Massa, Jean-Eric Vergne and Lewis Hamilton, has been a stepping stone into Formula 1.
Louis secured a drive in the highly prestigious Josef Kaufmann Racing team, which has in recent years developed the talents of Nico Hulkenberg and Esteban Gutierrez. Racing in this highly competitive formula he came second overall in the championship, only losing out to Briton Ben Barnicoat, driving for Foretec Motorsport. Barnicoat took the title after the final race at the Nürburgring was cancelled because of fog.
Reflecting on his second place in the championship Louis commented: “It was a good season, and at Kaufmann racing we won the team championship. I think I could have won the drivers’ championship but I will never know for sure with the cancelled race. I would have really liked to have raced this race as this was my last chance to fight for the top.”
