Russian FX brokerage AForex has today announced that it has begun to offer binary options to its client base as a result of the integration of Binaryware’s solution, binarystation.
Binaryware is a North American platform provider, which provides a MetaTrader 4-compatible binary options technology solution to FX brokers.
Contrary to the direction which is currently being explored by many binary options platform providers that are venturing into the gaming sector with land based terminals, Binaryware aims its product directly at FX brokers and provides a fully customizable solution.
Interestingly, Binaryware does not capitalize its binarystation via volume, nor does it base the fee that it charges its corporate clients on broker revenue. Instead, a fixed monthly fee is charged for the platform, thus handing market making responsibility directly to the broker itself, as opposed to firms establishing themselves as brands which conduct sales only, with risk management being controlled by the platform provider.
AForex will onboard its first binary options clients in August, offering its clients a fully integrated solution in which FX and binary options trades can be conducted from one client account.
The deliberation as to whether binary options is a financial instrument or a gaming product continues.
