The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) earlier today announced that it has awarded one more license to a Forex broker.
The new licensee, which joins the list of Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs) is Alfa Forex Ltd, a brand of Russia’s Alfa Bank. Up until now, the broker was registered only in the British Virgin Islands.
Let’s note that the Cypriot license of Alfa Forex has yet to be activated, pending a raft of regulatory compliance checks. This is the 17th CIF license CySEC has issued since the start of 2015.
