Prominent retail FX broker Alpari has today announced that it has extended its Alpari OptionTrader binary options platform onto mobile devices.
Binary options trading at Alpari is available on Apple iOS and Google Android smartphones, and is able to perform the full range of functions associated with the firm’s fx.option accounts, with the platform itself having been developed and provided by MarketsPulse.
Mobile platforms in retail FX and binary options trading have become de rigeur, as they serve to significantly increase trading volumes for retail FX firms, with some binary options brokers having experienced a 30% increase during 2012 in trading activity due to the use of mobile devices. By adding binary options accessibility via mobile, Alpari is tapping into a market served by traders who often look for a quick fix, therefore opening and closing binary trades far more regularly than if reliant on desktop applications only.
The announcement provides a further indication that Alpari is likely to continue to offer binary options products worldwide, as this particular expansion of service onto mobile devices has been published on the firm’s English language website, despite Alpari UK having informed its client base earlier this year that it would desist from offering binary options due to regulatory parameters that surround the UK market.
At that particular time, Alpari’s Russian operations continued to offer binary options trading facilities, and the company had published that it intended to launch mobile binary options trading during the summer of this year, with today’s announcement bearing this out.
