Bats Global Markets, the parent of Hotspot FX, has just unveiled its new global logo and a number of changes to the company and market center naming conventions.
The company has officially changed BATS Global Markets (BATS) to Bats Global Markets (Bats), with the word Bats title-cased vs. all uppercase letters. The company has applied this format across all of its US. markets and changed the name of its European market to Bats Europe (previously, Bats Chi-X Europe).
In its global foreign exchange business, Bats maintains the Hotspot brand.
The company, which is gearing up for an IPO, says the new brand and naming conventions unify its global organization. However, while the name and logo have changed, the customer-focused Bats philosophy of Making Markets Better stays the same.
