BATS Options, the US options subsidiary of exchange operator BATS Global Markets, today unveiled the BATS Options Advisory Board.
The Board consists of options industry thought leaders whose role will be to advise the BATS Options leadership team on important industry issues.
The BATS Options Advisory Board, set to meet on a quarterly basis, includes the following members:
- Kurt Eckert, Wolverine Trading;
- Sean Flynn, Interactive Brokers Group;
- Todd Hohman, Goldman Sachs;
- Mike Juneman, Citadel Securities;
- Todd Lard, Charles Schwab;
- Joseph Sellitto, Global Execution Brokers, LP;
- Jonathan Werts, BofA Merrill Lynch;
- Slade Winchester, Citi.
As BATS Options grows and expands its footprint, it’s critical to bring together key options industry stakeholders to understand their diverse views on various market structure issues,” said Kapil Rathi, Vice President of Options Business Strategy at BATS.
“The BATS Options Advisory Board will serve as a great resource to our leadership team as we position ourselves for continued success, product expansion, and leadership in the options industry.”
At present, BATS Options operates BZX Options, which is the fourth-largest US options market with a 10.9% market share reported in August 2015. BATS remains on schedule to launch its second options market, EDGX Options – the launch is scheduled for November 2, 2015.
The new market will be based on a customer priority/pro rata allocation model.
