Kai Fischer is to become Managing Director of Group Communications, and Martin Halusa press officer of Deutsche Börse AG and thus also Head of Department of Media Relations/Newsroom, all with effect from 1 January 2017.
Kai Fischer has been at Deutsche Börse since 2008, and has held various management positions in the CFO area. He is currently Head of Department Controlling. Prior to joining Deutsche Börse, he spent several years at management consulting company Accenture. He studied business administration at the University of Stuttgart and gained an MBA from Schiller International University.
Martin Halusa joins Deutsche Börse from Commerzbank AG, where he has been head of press relations for Corporate Banking (Mittelstandsbank) since 2009. He previously spent several years as a correspondent for Die Welt newspaper, in locations including New York and Brussels. Halusa studied at Ludwig Maximilian University and DJS German Journalism School in Munich.

Kai Fischer will be heading the Change Communication section as well, to emphasise the key role of staff communication and actively drive change in the company.
