UK financial regulator Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued its latest warning against an unregulated financial services provider targeting UK consumers.
The FCA’s latest warning is against e-transact Worldwide Limited, operating from website etransact.net showing address E1-4 Argyll Street, London W1F 7LD, which provides credit and debit cards services to online and offline merchants.
e-transact Worldwide Limited’s website actually states that the company is licensed by the FCA as an authorised payment institution. The company gives FCA reference number 498110, however a search of the FCA company register shows that there is no company with that number.
