FlexTrade Systems, a global leader in multi-asset execution and order management systems, today announced the appointments of Glen Sargeant and Marek Lewandowski as FX Sales Managers for the company’s EMEA region. Based in the company’s London office, Sargeant will be responsible for buy-side client acquisition while Lewandowski will focus on cross asset acquisition opportunities with a specific focus on the FX space.
“I am pleased to welcome Glen and Marek to the FlexTrade team,” said Vikas Kedia, Managing Director, FlexTrade UK Ltd in London. “With technology in the FX space becoming more sophisticated for asset managers and hedge funds, it is critical to have people who are experienced in the complex workflows that comprise the day-to-day trading process. The depth of Glen and Marek’s knowledge and experience in that area — from both a buy-side and sell-side perspective –will be invaluable to FlexTrade as we enhance our offerings to the FX market.”
With more than 26 years of experience in FX, Sargeant joins FlexTrade from Schroder Investment Management’s London office, where he spent 18 years working on their FX trading desk. During this tenure, he was the Head of Trading Foreign Exchange for 10 years managing passive and active execution for the firm’s main investment groups: equities, fixed income, multi-asset and emerging market debt. In addition, he spearheaded the creation of Schroder’s in-house FX TCA product in 2007, an innovation not readily available at that time. Previously, Sargeant worked at FX Broker Prebon Yamane UK and on the Treasury Desk of Credit Agricole.
Lewandowski comes to FlexTrade with 17 years of experience selling all asset classes. Prior to joining the company, he spent five years on HSBC’s eFX sales team in London where he was responsible for UK client acquisition (sell-side and buy-side) and increasing FX volumes. Previously, Lewandowski worked as a sales manager at TradingScreen, where he was responsible for cross asset class products with a focus on FX and fixed income. He also spent time with Tradeweb, SuperDerivatives and Bloomberg.
