After a very robust December, GMO Click Holdings Inc (TYO:7177), the parent company of Japanese online trading giant GMO Click Securities, has just reported a set of solid financial metrics for the first nine months of fiscal year 2016.
The company said the profit attributable to shareholders reached JPY 4.99 billion ($42.75 million) in the nine months to December 31, 2015. The result is 37.8% higher than in the corresponding period a year earlier.
Operating revenues rose 27.8% from a year earlier, to JPY 22.3 billion.
Operating income for the period was JPY 8.41 billion, up 58.7% from the equivalent period a year earlier.
Ordinary income also staged a steep rise, going up 59.6% in annual terms and reaching JPY 8.4 billion.
